The FTC has released a final agenda and list of panelists for its Wednesday, May 30th workshop about advertising and privacy disclosures in online and mobile media.

The workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public (no pre-registration required).  The event will also be webcast live at the following link:  http://htc-01.media.globix.net/COMP008760MOD1/ftc_web/FTCindex.html.

The event will feature panels on:  (1) universal and cross-platform advertising disclosures; (2) social media advertising disclosures; (3) mobile advertising disclosures; and (4) mobile privacy disclosures.  The focus of the workshop will be on exploring best practices for advertising and privacy disclosures, and the discussions will be used by FTC staff to update the FTC’s Dot Com Disclosures guidance to better illustrate how businesses can provide clear and conspicuous disclosures in the online and mobile spaces.

A summary of the discussions at the workshop will be provided in a forthcoming post.
