Cybersecurity Legislation Fails in the Senate

Yesterday, by a vote of 52-46, the cloture vote on the bill, known officially as the Cybersecurity Act of 2012 (S. 3414)  and also commonly referred to as Lieberman-Collins failed, mostly on party lines  For now, cybersecurity legislation will be set aside by the Senate, at least until September, but possibly until after the election.
